Interview With Local Artist Timothy Joe

Watching Timothy wind the mic chord around his shirt was very revealing to how the rest of our interview would turn out. He was calm, and I think I could tell I had never done this before, but he was methodical. I could see him thinking the solution through before acting. Even when meeting him for the first time in the lobby of the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Tim had an air of apprehension. But in regular cool fashion, he let us lead him upstairs to the hospitality sweet.

Timothy Joe is a very unique artist in the Tennessee valley. At a very young age Timothy began to realize he had yearning to express his creativity through art. During our interview Timothy mentioned that he never had an art mentor to help guide him. Yet, it is very clear now, at the peak of his art career, Timothy takes great care in every opportunity to he has to teach about art, his process and the passion of being an artist. Our interview with Timothy, summed up in one word was encouraging and at the least inspirational. It was quaint yet deep, flowing in between.
